He is doing really well. It has been a tough few weeks but he is coming through it and is now over the worst of it.

Ant has been very brave and is totally committed to his recovery. All that matters to him is getting well and getting back to his best.

That’s why, until now, he has decided he needs to be on his own to focus entirely on his illness and how he can best recover.

Their source went on to say Ant feels he’s ready to face his wife Lisa and his showbiz partner Dec, both of whom he’s not seen since he went into rehab.

The source finished by saying with this new found strength those close to Ant believe he’ll be back on TV in November.

Ant entered rehab after he became addicted to the prescription medication Tramadol, which can cause slurred speech, drowsiness, headaches and impaired co-ordination, following a ‘botched’ knee operation.

Dec reportedly told Ant he needed professional help and after getting advice from counsellors he advised Ant enter a residential treatment programme.
