It sounds like Apple may have finally addressed the most irritating iOS for iPhone feature.

You know the situation – you’re trying to download a podcast, make an offline playlist, or maybe even just take a photo, when your phone kindly lets you know there’s ‘insufficient storage’.

So you inevitably end up deleting stuff that you’d probably rather keep while the irritating pre-installed apps you never use just sit there gloating – I’m looking at you ‘Stocks’.

Well, at long last, a new update from Apple may have just solved that precise issue, reports Elite Daily.

According to The Guardian, if you update to iOS 10 beta, you can delete nearly all of those pesky pre-installed apps that take up your precious storage space.

We’ll still have a few compulsory apps with classics such as App Store, Camera, Find iPhone, Health and Safari keeping their place.

However, peripheral players like Compass, FaceTime, Find My Friends and iBooks will all be up for the potential chop.

Apple has warned people not to remove too many apps, with a statement on its website reading:

When you remove a built-in app from your Home screen, you also remove any related user data and configuration files.

This can affect things like related system functions or information on your Apple Watch.

To be fair, apps built into the recent iOS are very space efficient – they take up a total of just 150MB – so there’s no need to go crazy with the deleting.

It’s nice to have the choice though. Bye bye ‘Stocks’.
