PAPolice have confirmed a major incident in Borough Market after a van mowed down a number of civilians on London Bridge.
This is the second incident to hit the capital in just a couple of hours.
Witnesses have said they heard police firing into Brindisa Tapas bar not far away from the earlier incident on the bridge.

A white transit van mounted a curb on London Bridge and hit pedestrians, according to the Metropolitan Police.
The Met Police have confirmed they are dealing with an incident on the bridge and ‘multiple resources’ are in attendance.
Armed officers arrived at the scene and were deployed across Southwark Bridge and Borough High Street.

BBC reporter Holly Jones was on the bridge at the time of the incident and gave BBC News an eye-witness report, saying the van was driven by a man and was “probably travelling at about 50 miles an hour”.
She added:
He swerved right round me and then hit about five or six people. He hit about two people in front of me and then three behind. I’d say there are about four severely injured people. They all have paramedics assisting them at the moment.
The Metropolitan Police have asked the public to avoid the area at this time.
