Mass Effect: Andromeda news is starting to leak out thick and fast. Last week, a marketing survey from EA came to light that offered a heap of intriguing story details. Now, some reported gameplay footage has surfaced – and it looks pretty spiffy.
NeoGAF user Taker34 says they obtained the footage from a developer who’s currently working on Andromeda. The video has since been taken down (which usually points to these things being legit).
Perhaps the most intriguing revelation from the footage is the addition of a jetpack. As you might imagine, the jetpack allows you to soar through the air for a short period of time.
You can take a look at the jetpack in action in sexy GIF form just below. Everything is better with jetpacks.
It should be noted that the footage (if it is real) probably isn’t indicative of how the Mass Effect Andromeda currently looks, or will look on release. One NeoGAF user points out that the footage is from a late 2014 build.
Thankfully, a mirrored version of the video survives (for now) which you can watch just below.
Mass Effect Andromeda is the fourth entry in the sci-fi/space opera franchise, and marks something of a new chapter for the series. It’s currently slated to come out sometime in early 2017 – hopefully jetpacks made the cut.
