Police in Brazil are hunting five armed men who made a daring getaway from a bank robbery using a human shield.

According to the Daily Mirror the masked men smashed ATM machines in Curiuva, stealing vast sums of cash before taking an estimated 30 hostages to make sure of their escape.
In the video it appears they have filled a truck with as many of the hostages as possible, and even strap one man to the hood of the vehicle as they speed away.

Reports have suggested the armed robbers did successfully evade capture, and that, incredibly, hostages were released with no reports of injury.
Police allegedly found the truck abandoned and have launched an investigation to capture the fugitives.
