Banksy’s Identity ‘Revealed’ After Being Caught On Camera

By :

Mysterious graffiti artist Banksy may have finally been unmasked, after a woman claimed to have seen him creating his latest piece.

Mobile phone footage shows the woman, called Mia, approaching a man she sees down a dark alleyway, who’s spraying paint all over a wall.

The street artist then puts his hood up and as he goes to walk away the woman approaches the wall to see the work, which in this case was a depiction of anti-immigration politician Pauline Hanson, with Banksy’s signature underneath.

‘Mia’ then runs after the man who turns around and tries blocking the camera with his hand to no avail, as he shouts ‘fuck off, fuck off’, before legging it away.

It remains unknown if the footage is actually genuine, or if it’s even Banksy. The Daily Mail reports that the reclusive artist does not stencil his signature on all his work and the one they used on this particular piece was not the same as the one used in the past.

However, the plot thickens as it turns out that the footage was shot in Melbourne, Australia, where a major exhibition of Banksy is currently being held.

This latest piece shows Hanson wearing a t-shirt with the slogan ‘Fuck off, we’re fools’, a take on the anti-immigration slogan ‘Fuck off, we’re full’.

The controversial Queensland politician caused outrage in the last few weeks after saying that Muslim immigration in Australia should be halted.

Despite no-one ever being able to confirm Banksy’s real identity, an investigation back in 2008 by the Mail on Sunday claimed that it was Robin Gunningham.

Researchers in London then backed this theory earlier this year, after using ‘geographic profiling’ to track his movements.

Does this video finally prove the real identity of Banksy once and for all? We hope not.
