Ben Affleck To Write, Direct And Star In Stand-Alone Batman Film

All the fans who were annoyed when Ben Affleck was cast as Batman might want to look away now!

Affleck is the star of next year’s ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’ but Deadline are now reporting that the 42-year-old will also co-write, direct and star in the next stand-alone Batman movie.

Affleck will reportedly team up with Geoff Johns, DC Comics’ chief creative officer, to write the script.

It will be some time yet before the next Batman stand-alone film though, so don’t get too worried.

Before then, Batman v Superman is due for release in early 2016, and Affleck will also play the role of Batman in ‘Justice League’ in 2017.

We’ll reserve judgement on this move until we’ve seen Affleck’s take on the iconic Dark Knight role next year.
