Only a couple of days after hearing that the survivors of the Berkeley balcony collapse had been sent a care package from Barry’s Tea, more good news has emerged in the wake of the tragedy.
Clodagh Cogley, one of the survivors from the balcony collapse that killed six and injured far more, is facing a very different future than the one she might have envisaged, after the accident left her with injuries so severe that she has been told it is highly unlikely she will ever walk again.
She is currently receiving treatment in the USA, but when she gets back home to Dublin, will need a huge amount of money to help her rehabilitation costs and make her family home suitable for her needs.
That is where GoFundMe come in, with a page being set up to raise €100,000 to do just this, and in only eight days it has raised tens of thousands of pounds, but still has a long way to go.
Despite the horrendous and life changing injuries, not to mention being miles away from home, Cogley is staying positive, thanking those who have sent well wishes and urging people to live their life to the fullest.
