Disturbing footage has emerged showing the bodyguard of an angry rich brat pulling his gun during a brawl at a packed wrestling match.
The man reportedly pulled the weapon after the teenage wrestler he was protecting – named as Rukman Ahmethanov – refused to accept the judges’ decision and instead attacked his opponent, reports the Daily Mail.
The tournament, held in Stary Oskol in the Belgorod Oblast region of Russia, was sponsored by the multi-millionaire father of the defeated wrestler.
However, when judges ruled he had lost, 17-year-old Rukman launched a vicious assault on the Magomedemin Ibragimov, kicking him in the stomach.
Fans and officials rushed in quickly to break up the fight but it seems that one of Rukman’s bodyguards took things even more over the top, pulling his handgun and waving it around.
Reports state the victim, Mr Ibragimov, said:
After the fight was over and I won, he jumped on me. His father’s security decided to protect him. They seem to be millionaires.
The event, which reportedly involved 400 athletes had to be cancelled because of the brawl.
Russian Wrestling Federation president Mikhail Mamiashvili said:
This is a terrible, intolerable situation. We are not only shocked by it, but believe that it should not happen in the future.
The Russian Wrestling Federation will lead an internal investigation, as a result of which the initiator of the fight will get a lifelong disqualification.
Talk about being a bad loser…
