A plane has crashed and exploded at Jose Marti International Airport in Havana, Cuba, according to local media.
The Boeing 737 airliner from Cuba’s state airline Cubana de Aviacon reportedly came down shortly after the plane was airborne, according to the BBC.
Radio Havana Cuba reportedly said it was an internal flight from the Cuban capital to Holguin, on the east side of the island.
Miguel Díaz-Canel, the Cuban president, has said many are feared dead.

It has been reported by Sky News that the plane had 104 passengers on board when it crashed.
At the time of writing, there have been no confirmed injuries, though witnesses have reported that they could see a thick column of smoke near the airport.
