The boy who was thrown from a Mall of America balcony has thankfully suffered no brain damage following his horrific ordeal
Following his 40ft fall at the Bloomington mall, five-year-old Landen Hoffman was left with two broken arms, a broken leg and a fractured skull as well as some small internal bleeding.
Doctors who repaired the damage to Landen’s face have reportedly been amazed by his recovery, with one doctor likening his injuries to ‘falling off a bicycle’.
Landen reportedly underwent a five hour MRI test last week, and there was fortunately no sign of brain damage or even swelling.
As reported by Fox 9, Landen’s pastor, Mac Hammond, updated parishioners on the little boy’s condition during an Easter service.
Speaking before a congregation at Landen’s family church in Woodbury, Minnesota, Pastor Hammond described Landen’s condition as ‘truly a miracle’, stating:
There was zero evidence of brain damage – there wasn’t even swelling,
No spinal chord injury, no nerve damage, no internal injuries that were life-threatening.
Pastor Hammond also drew parallels between the Easter celebrations and Landen’s remarkable recovery, declaring:
This is resurrection power. This is what the word will do.

Landen’s family have since given the following positive update on the little boy’s GoFundMe page:
We wanted to provide a short update following the holiday weekend. We have an important week ahead with more milestones to accomplish. God’s hand is working. Your prayers are working! Our son remains in intensive care, under sedation and under close monitoring as we stay patient to allow him to heal.
Thank you for continuing to respect our family’s privacy through this unimaginable time. We remain steadfast in our faith and praise God for His miraculous work in our lives and for your love, prayers and support. Thank you so much and keep praying!
Landen’s GoFundMe page – which describes him as the ‘sweetest, kindest five-year-old you will ever meet’ – has so far raised $973,949 of the stipulated $1 million goal.
Suspect Emmanuel Aranda, 24, has since been arrested and charged with attempted premeditated first-degree murder after allegedly throwing Landen from the balcony.
Aranda had reportedly gone to the mall with the intention of killing somebody as revenge after having been rejected by women there for several years.
UNILAD wishes Landen Hoffman a full recovery following his terrifying ordeal.
