A bomb has been detonated in the centre of Bangkok, Thailand’s capital city.
The BBC reported there to be at least 12 dead and 20 injured in the huge explosion.
The blast left a large crater in the street near Erawan Shrine, a tourist attraction in the centre of the city.
The bomb went off just after 7pm local time, with emergency services racing to the scene.

The explosion, at the Rachaprasong intersection, was confirmed by local police to be set off by a bomb and believed to have have been detonated on the back of a motorbike.
Eyewitnesses have reported that bodies in the streets are being covered with white sheets as police investigate the area.
