Former The Voice contestant Christina Grimmie has tragically died after being shot at a concert in Orlando.
The 22-year-old singer was taken to hospital after being shot by an unidentified male suspect, who then proceeded to shoot himself.
Members of the band Before You Exit were signing autographs after a concert at Orlando’s Plaza Live when the suspect reportedly walked toward Christina and shot her.
Christina’s brother immediately tackled the suspect stopping him from causing any more harm to Christina and her fans and, during the struggle, the suspect shot himself and was pronounced dead at the scene, reports ENews.

A fan has posted – some now incredibly poignant – footage from Christina’s last performance to Instagram:
In 2014, the singer participated in season six of The Voice with her unique sound causing all four coaches to turn their chairs.
She joined Adam Levine’s team and went on to finish in third place. Earlier this year, Christina released her second EP, Side A, with plans to later release Side B.

The shrill reminder to live life fully feels horridly shallow next to the grief and tragedy of the cost of the reminder. #RIPChristina
