It reminded me of things in the news, about people shooting and active shooters. This was a reality for me, what do you do in an active situation.
You had people trying to play dead and things like that. This is an active shooter and I was trying to tell a girl, you can’t cry, I know it’s traumatic for you, but you got to stay silent or play dead.
Police have yet to confirm the conditions of the casualties and the identity and whereabouts of the gunman are not yet clear.
Police Chief Craig Bucheit said detectives are still trying to determine the number of victims, and officers are also unsure of the number of shooters and the motive.

What happened tonight is unacceptable and we’re going to work with management and ownership to make sure it doesn’t happen again.
The incident comes just weeks after Omar Mateen went on a shooting spree, murdering 49 people in Pulse, an LGBT nightclub in Orlando.
