If it wasn’t for social media, I may not have found out there was a heatwave in Britain this week.
According to every single media outlet in the country (now including this one), Britain today is experiencing the hottest weather in nine years, with temperatures reaching 34.5C in certain parts of our tiny island.
It’s actually so hot, that bookmakers are even getting in on it, with Coral slashing the odds on it being Britain’s hottest ever summer from 4-1 to 3-1. Banker? Probably not. It will be snowing next week.
And as always in this wonderful country, with sun and heat comes COMPLETE FUCKING CHAOS…
Northern Rail's just claimed a train has been delayed by snow – fantastic. #Heatwave pic.twitter.com/zEiMOsTYPB

This British heatwave is making me laugh. Guys that's not hot, that's an early spring day OF PERFECT WEATHER. It's not even sweat time then.

Some people just can’t hack it…
It's too hot in the office so we're all going home! All phones are diverted to the on-call phone so you can still get hold of us! #heatwave
