Build-A-Bear is one of the most adorable shops on the high street, whether you’re seven or 27.
I personally love giving a personalised bear away as a present, complete with the accessories and ‘birth certificate’ name you know they will love.
However, let’s face it, after glamming your bear out with a set of rollerblades and a stylish tutu, your bank balance isn’t looking quite so cute and cuddly.
Luckily, Build-A-Bear are about to launch their first ever ‘Pay Your Age Day,’ where you could pay as little as £1 to treat the baby bears in your life.
BUILD A BEAR WORKSHOP IS HAVING A PAY YOUR AGE EVENT!! YOU ONLY HAVE TI PAY YOUR AGE FOR THE BEAR YOU MAKE AND WHOSE TRYNNA GO WITH ME

which one of my girls wants to go to build a bear for a nostalgic time?

Basically, this really is as simple as it sounds. A child only has to pay (in pounds) what their age is. So a three-year-old would pay £3, a four-year-old would pay £4 etc etc.
But there is a minimum spend of £1 so don’t think you can run off with a free bear if you have a little one who is yet to celebrate their first birthday.
Bear-ing in mind a Build-A-Bear teddy would usually set you back around £25, this really is a honeypot of a bargain.
The ‘biggest in-store deal ever’ encompasses all your favourite branded teddies, including Star Wars, My Little Pony, Marvel, Shopkins and Disney.
According to the Manchester Evening News, chief executive officer of Build-A-Bear Workshop, Sharon Price John, said:
We have overwhelming data that indicates Build-A-Bear is synonymous with childhood, and nearly one-third of our sales are associated with birthdays.
We ‘heart’ birthdays at Build-A-Bear, so we’re hosting the Pay Your Age Day to launch our year-round ‘Count Your Candles’ offer for guests celebrating a birthday with us in stores – an experience we designed especially to commemorate birthdays in a memorable way.
There is a maximum purchase of one bear per child, which will surely make a lovely summer holiday treat if you’re a money savvy parent.
Even if you have 25 children to spoil, you will still be making a sweet saving..

Parents are delighted by this excellent offer, and are taking to social media to share their joy.
One lucky young person said:
July 12th is pay your age @ build a bear
I smell a great date coming up.
Another approved:
Seriously though, this is a great idea, and will make a lot of children happy.
So does that mean that adults will need fake IDs that say they're children?

However, child-free adults are getting a little jelly of the offer, with one person suggesting:
I wish you’d acknowledge that childfree adults also enjoy purchasing your bears and plushies and would enjoy a discount day of our own.
Perhaps adults could pay their age in pennies?
Another sighed:
This is all well and good unless your age is higher than that of a full priced Build-A-Bear… So not fair.

A good bday would consist of Build a Bear workshop (um hi I’m a sucker for cute stuffed animals.), manicure, pedicure, and dinner w my bf. I’ve officially decided.

So, and I don’t mean this to sound creepy, has anyone got a bunch of one year olds I can borrow for like one hour on 12 July…?
