Hip Hop beef ain’t what it used to be. It now contains even more protein.
Forget guns and drive-bys, these days arguments are settled with a protein drink to the face. Boom.
Busta Rhymes was arrested and charged with assault Wednesday evening after throwing a protein shake at a worker at a New York gym.
A witness said:
Things got heated. Busta splashed water on him and the employee threw water back. Busta’s security got between them. The cops came and (the employee) kept changing his story.
He also went on to say that Busta had been provoked.
Another witness told the New York Daily News that there had been bad blood between the two previously. The rapper had tried to record his workout but the employee had refused to let the cameraman in.
Busta later uploaded a post to Instagram addressing the issue:

The 43-year-old rapper’s lawyer said that he’d done ‘nothing wrong’, and that he’d get through it.
