Red hair is gorgeous and vibrant and brings a much needed heat to the world’s hair colour palette.
However, all too often spicy redheads find themselves to be the butt of the joke, particularly in regards to their pubes.
This is baffling to me, as somebody with naturally very mousey, ho-hum hair. I would give my right eyebrow for a head of fiery red chaos, and yet gingers far and wide are made to feel ashamed of their unique beauty.
And it seems Red Hot are in agreement, once again launching a raunchy calendar to celebrate all things ginger pubes. And they are looking for twelve more brave and ginger lads to model for them.
Red Hot is an art project and global movement which smashes any prejudiced and negative stereotypes society all too often has of ginger men.
This powerful initiative has led to two best selling art books and five years worth of artistically shot charity calendars.
According to Red Hot:
Many people still think negatively about ginger hair in the UK, especially ginger pubic hair which is somewhat of a taboo.
Every year, Red Hot launch a special spin-off calendar. The 2017 ‘Red Hot C**ks’ calendar was a huge hit, raising thousands for charity and sticking two fingers firmly up at any ginger jokes.
Find out more about this calendar, erm, below:
After this cheering success, photographer Thomas Knights and Art Director Elliott James Frieze are now once again looking for ’12 new, sporty, ginger lads’ to strip off for a new calendar.
Sales from this cheeky calendar will go towards supporting the Movember’s Testicular Cancer Awareness Campaign.
Testicular cancer is the most common form of cancer among men aged between 15 and 49 in the UK, affecting many young men in the prime of their lives.
To be in with a shot, you must be over the age of eighteen with a ‘muscular, sporty physique.’ It goes without saying you should be ginger with ginger pubes which you are more than happy to show off.
Of course, your looks will not be the only deciding factor. You should also have a winning personality and a natural ease with the camera.
Bear in mind, this will be a full frontal, nude calendar and so you will need to be prepared to show everything. Online images will be censored, however the finished calendar will most certainly not be…
There are also the practical considerations to mull over. For example, you must be free to attend a one hour photoshoot in central London on either the 18 of 19 August.
To kick off your application, just pop over a clear face and body pic in a message to Red Hot’s Instagram page.
This is the perfect opportunity to show just how goddamn sexy gingerness can be, all for a very worthy cause indeed.
The closing date is August 12, so get working on perfecting your model poses asap. Good luck!
You can pre-order Red Hot’s current 2019 calendar ‘Red Hot American Boys’ from their online store.
