When a groom got cold feet and decided he didn’t want to get married, the bride’s family made the most out of the situation and turned it into something positive… A 35k feast for the homeless.
Quinn and Landon, both 27, were set to have a lavish $35,000 ceremony at the Citizen Hotel in Sacramento, U.S.A.
The wedding was called off with less than a week to go. Quinn’s family decided not to cancel everything and instead they generously invited the city’s homeless to enjoy the event.
Quinn and Landon got engaged in April of last year. It looks like all the usual customs went ahead like the engagement celebration, bucks, and bridal party…
The wedding food was originally intended for 120 guests. It included salmon, steak, salad, gnocchi, and a range of appetisers.
“I feel a lot of heartache and heartbreak for her, but I will take away something good from this,” Quinn’s mother told KCRA.
Quinn was understandably devastated and chose not to come, but her parents watched as new guests arrived and enjoyed the gourmet feed.

Rashad Abdullah, who came with his wife Erika Craycraft and five children, said the meal was a blessing. “When you’re going through a hard time and a struggle, for you to do something different with your family, it was really a blessing.”
His wife Erika also thanked Quinn and her family for their kindness.

Quinn and her mother will enjoy the honeymoon for themselves, which is a trip to Belize. Great to see a negative turned into something so positive overall!
