A respected geography teacher has been caught on CCTV dragging bin bags through the street carrying her deceased husband’s body parts.
Ana Zaharia has been accused of chopping her partner up and placing his remains in bin bags, then trying to dispose of them.
The 65-year-old, from eastern Romania, is believed to have mutilated her husband Gheorghe at their home, and removed his organs and genitals.
Zaharia then put the body parts into separate bags, and called a taxi to take her 24 miles to a bin in Targu Frumos.
The taxi driver became suspicious after seeing blood trailing from one of the bags, and called the authorities.
When the police arrived, they arrested Zaharia, and after searching her house, found her husband’s head in another bag, ready to also be dumped.
Prosecutor Stelian Olteanu said: “She knows the law very well, and she is coherent, but she is being very evasive.”
