You know how sometimes, you think about just how many hours you work, and the fact that you really don’t get paid enough?

Yeah, well if you’re one of those people, and someone who sees their boss take two hour long liquid lunches, and swan out the door at 5pm sharp on a Friday while you finish stuff off, you might want to look away now.

According to a report by the High Pay Centre, chief executives earn on average 183 times more than full time workers.

That has risen since 2010, with CEO’s earning 160 times more than the average worker five years ago.

Deborah Hargreaves, director of the High Pay Centre claimed:

Pay packages of this size go far beyond what is sensible or necessary to reward and inspire top executives.

It’s more likely that corporate governance structures in the UK are riddled with glaring weaknesses and conflicts of interest.

CEO’s earn on average £4.964 million a year, compared with the average wage of £27,195, which let’s be honest, is a massive and slightly unfair difference.
