Mad Max: Fury Road taught us all that Academy award winning actor Charlize Theron can kick ass when she needs to but the newest trailer for Atomic Blonde proves we haven’t seen half of what she’s capable of.
For those who aren’t aware, Atomic Blonde is a bonkers looking action-spy thriller starring Theron as bombastic MI6 agent Lorraine Broughton who’s sent to Berlin to take down a ruthless counter intelligence squad who’ve been offing agents for unknown reasons.
Once in Berlin Lorraine teams up with Berlin station chief David Percival (Jame McAvoy) and the pair go on a rampage as they try and bring down the gang of cruel killers targeting their colleagues.
UniversalFrom the look of this trailer it seems that Lorraine’s from the James Bond school of spying, basically murder or fuck anything that gets in your way, for Queen and country of course.
Atomic Blonde’s based on a graphic novel of the same name form Alan Moore collaborator Antony Johnston and is being directed by one half of the team that put together the rather wonderful John Wick.
Atomic Blonde smashes into UK cinemas on August 11.
