Just two weeks ago, news emerged that British model Chloe Ayling had been rescued after being kidnapped and transported in a bag to be sold on the dark web.

However, already, other models have been relentlessly mocking Chloe in a series of photographs showing them pretending to be stuffed inside suitcases while laughing and smiling.

Some of the photos, which were posted in a WhatsApp group chat, also jokingly demanded a ‘£20 ransom’ for the victim to be released.

Speaking to the Daily Star, a source said:

No-one really believes her. If they thought it was for real they wouldn’t do it but all of the models know her.

They know everybody in the industry and many don’t think it adds up.

In the aftermath of her finding, Chloe has been all over the media but has announced she’ll be taking a break from the limelight for the foreseeable future.

She explained on ITV show Lorraine:

It’s been non stop – the kidnap, then the police, then the media – I haven’t had a chance to sit back and take it in.

It’s good to take opportunities to raise awareness about the situation. I’d like to maybe do a book or documentary to spread the word, really.

If I could use the lessons I’ve learned and my situation to help others, that would be amazing.

However – Chloe will be returning with a book or documentary in order to raise awareness and help others in similar situations to her.
