Childbirth can be a life-changing experience which can affect you both mentally and physically, just ask model Chrissy Teigen.

As a man, I couldn’t imagine what childbirth is like and for me to compare it to a male related injury or procedure could be misconstrued as disingenuous or playing down what a woman goes through when she’s giving birth.

I find the best thing to do is shut your mouth and listen – unless they ask for your opinion. It might seem oppressive (and I’m almost certain you’ll voice your own opinion in response to this mantra), but categorically speaking, giving birth is a life-changing and painful experience us guys will never be able to relate to.

Maybe getting hit in the nuts, passing kidney stones or having a catheter removed might come close, but I’ll leave this discussion for another time.

Model Chrissy Teigen certainly knows a thing or two about the effects of childbirth, after all, the model, who’s married to R&B crooner John Legend, has given birth twice already, her latest being their son, Miles Theodore, who she delivered just last week.

While Chrissy and John were undoubtedly happy with the latest addition to their family, the effect it’s had on her body is very much real.

So real in fact, Teigen, who always comes through with the gems on Twitter, decided to get ‘really real’ and reveal some of the graphic details as a result of the latest birth.

On her Twitter account, Teigen posted:

I can confirm postpartum life is 90% better when you don’t rip to your butthole. Baby boy: 1 point. Luna: 0

Damn, I feel like I’ve learnt just a little bit too much about the effects of childbirth. It’s certainly more information than I would’ve preferred to have learnt. But as they say, knowledge is power, so if I have to know this stuff you bloody well do too.

The Lip Sync Battle host and FABLife panellist shared the first picture of her baby boy on Instagram yesterday, May 20.

In her post she wrote:

Hello, world! This is Miles Theodore Stephens – We are drowning in his little peeps and nuzzles. Our household feels overwhelmed with love. Thank you for all your well wishes!

In another revealing Instagram post, Teigen posed with her son (with her two-year-old daughter, Luna Simone Stephens, photobombing in the background) wearing ‘#asianpearunderwear’.

In the photo, she took time to encourage fans to watch the Netflix specials of actor and stand-up comedian, Ali Wong.

Last February, a heavily pregnant Chrissy kept her 9.77 million Twitter followers entertained when she attempted to bring her ’emotional support casserole’ onboard a flight.

She started with:

If I don’t have a carry-on, can I bring a large ceramic casserole dish of scalloped potatoes on the plane? I am not kidding, is this okay? Is it too blunt/heavy an object? I’ll cry if they throw it away.

Before quickly following it up with a ‘please help me’ tweet to American Airlines:

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) replied:

That’s a good question, Christine! Scalloped potatoes are allowed in carry-on and checked bags. You can place them in a ceramic casserole dish.

American Airlines also got back to Chrissy, reassuring her they were there for her before asking her to direct message her request.

Chrissy didn’t slide into the DMs, instead she aired it all out on Twitter, which made for some amusement.

Referring to her casserole as an ’emotional support casserole’ she said she’d like to bring it on her flight.
