Photographers Omar Victor Diop and Antoine Tempe photographed classic Hollywood movies scenes in Africa and they’re freakin’ awesome.

Sometimes stuff gets quietly posted on the web and is drowned out by all the other noise. I had never seen these photos before, but they were part of a photography project in Africa called Remixing Hollywood in 2013.

The series of images is inspired by iconic moments of great American and European movies, with a cast featuring a representative sample of the cultural scenes in Dakar and Abidjan, where these pictures were shot, in the setting of ONOMO hotels.

They’ve started circulating online again and I can see why. They’re excellent! Timeless like the classics themselves.
