With films like Rio, The Smurfs and The Adventures of Shark Boy and Lava Girl behind him, you’d think George Lopez would be a pretty PG guy – but that wasn’t the case at one of his recent comedy shows.

Performing stand up at the Celebrity Theatre in Phoenix on Saturday night, Lopez quipped that ‘there are only 2 rules in the Latino family – don’t marry somebody black and don’t park in front of our house’.

An obvious joke, considering it was said at a comedy show, but one woman sitting in the front row wasn’t so impressed. TMZ reports the woman stood up before flipping Lopez her middle finger in protest.

And that’s when shit went down.

Responding to the woman, Lopez said: “Sit your fucking ass down. You paid to see a show, sit your ass down.”

After repeating that a few times and calling her a bitch, he added: “You can’t take a joke you’re in the wrong motherfucking place.”

Lopez then told her to ‘sit down or get out’ (albeit more explicitly), before making the choice for her: “I’ll tell you what, I’ll make the choice for you: Get the fuck outta here.”

Security can then be seen ushering the woman, along with three of her friends, out of the front row seats as Lopez said: “Four seats just opened up front.”

Should he have addressed her as a ‘bitch’? Absolutely not. But, if you’re not so great at accepting different kinds of humour, maybe you shouldn’t be at a comedy show in the first place.

Moral of the story? Don’t piss off George Lopez.
