There are many people who would love the opportunity to unload on Piers Morgan.

The antagonistic journalist is well know for his bullying and belittling broadcasting tactics on Good Morning Britain and since his championing of President Donald Trump, Piers Morgan isn’t short of a few enemies.

Just weeks after Ewan McGregor refused to appear on ITV‘s daytime TV talk show due to a disagreement over Pier’s outspoken and controversial gender politics, Australian comedian Jim Jefferies stepped up to the plate to give the disgraced former newspaper editor his two cents.

During HBO‘s political panel show, Real Time with Bill Maher, Maher mused that President Trump’s policies are proving those who claimed he was the ‘lesser of two evils‘ in comparison with Hillary Clinton painfully wrong.

Despite cheers and laughter from the audience, Piers was quick to disagree and when presented with a reasoned argument by Maher, the journalist continued to question his point.

Jefferies contested Piers, claiming Clinton would never have instigated a ‘Muslim Ban‘, to which Piers responded ‘It’s not a Muslim ban’.

Jefferies didn’t accept this denial for one second, saying:

Oh, fuck off. It’s a fucking Muslim ban. He said there was a Muslim ban. It’s a Muslim ban.

This is what you do, Piers. You say, ‘He hasn’t done this, he hasn’t done that, he’s not going to do all these things.’ Give him a fucking chance, mate. Hitler didn’t kill the Jews on the first day, he worked up to it, mate.

Piers claimed Jefferies was becoming ‘hysterical’ and ‘losing his audience’ – and while a comparison with Hitler is usually the death of all reasoned debate, Jefferies turned the heated exchange around with a good, old-fashioned heckle.

Delivering the knock out blow, Jefferies ended the verbal sparring match when he confronted Piers’ hypocrisy, saying, ‘You just like that you won the Apprentice and you have a famous friend.’
