Following his shock defeat to Nate Diaz, Conor McGregor was pretty respectful, but he has now confirmed he wants to avenge the loss.
Speaking to TMZ Sports, who appeared to be stalking the featherweight champion as he spent some of his UFC 196 riches, ‘The Notorious’ reflected on the fight.
He said:
I think I’d like to see that yeah. It’s one that interests me, most certainly. When I look at the fight, I was winning the fight. I won the first round and a half I feel. I’d love to get that one back.
He also addressed the issue of having Justin Bieber’s priceless support…
I really hope McGregor was just humouring the paps with talk of Bieber making it anywhere near a ringwalk.
Biebs toasted the Irishman following his fight at the MGM Grand, but he certainly didn’t endear himself to Diaz after he called the Stockton fighter’s style ‘terrible’.
Diaz had this incredible response at the time.

But Diaz did also leave the door open to a rematch with McGregor.
He said:
I’m sure he does want a rematch. I’ve wanted a lot of rematches too.
Time will tell, we’ll see how things play out.
We’ll take that as a solid ‘maybe’.
