Less than a week ago, the city of London was attacked when three men drove a van through crowds of people on London Bridge before getting out and stabbing others.
Now, it has been revealed that in the back of their van was a stash of molotov cocktails with paper fuses wrapped around the bottle necks.
At least four petrol bombs were found, made via £5 bottles of wine, according to the Daily Mail.
Forensic investigators also found 14 jerry cans leading police to fear that the terrorists planned on using fire in a barbaric way to increase the death toll.
Fortunately, the terrorists were unable to return to their van as police shot the three of them dead just eight minutes after the first call was made.
Eight people were killed by the group, with the eigth victim revealed today as Xavier Thomas.
Xavier’s body was found and retrieved from the Thames after he and his girlfriend were struck by the van on London Bridge.
The other victims have been named as Australian nanny Sara Zelenak, 21, French chef Sebastien Belanger, 36, his friend Alexandre Pigeard, 27, nurse Kirsty Boden, 28, business owner James McMullan, 32, and Canadian tourist Christine Archibald, 30.
Our thoughts go out to the families and friends of all those killed in Saturday night’s cowardly attack.
