An officer taunted a criminal, who tried to kill him and his son during a traffic stop, as the offender was jailed for life.
Not in the ordinary way though, with jeers and calls, but with a tube of personalised lubricant, telling the 21-year-old convict he was going ‘to need a lot of this’.
The convict in question, 21-year-old Kevin Rojas, was smug at his sentencing court appearance on Wednesday, after being convicted of multiple charges of attempted first-degree murder, attempted manslaughter, two counts of aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, grand theft auto and fleeing.
The crimes were committed when the officer in question – who’s remained anonymous – was taking his son to school in March of 2016, when he noticed Rojas driving erratically, according to News4JAX.
The cop pulled Rojas over, but when Rojas got out of the car, he immediately opened fire on the cop.
The officer was struck in the face, stomach and hand, though his son was not hit.
He began to shoot back but the criminal fled in a nearby truck to his home, where he barricaded himself in.
Police officers shot through a glass door in his home, hitting him in the torso, leg and hand in order to get him to drop his gun.
In court, the officer said:
I will take those bullets instead of a fellow officer and an innocent bystander.
When I brought the fight back to you, you ran like a coward. Obviously that day changed my life, and it will never be the same.

It was reported, during the hearing, the officer pulled out a tube of K-Y Jelly, and said:
You are going to need a lot of this.
Rojas declined to speak in court and there were no character witnesses at his hearing to mitigate his sentencing.
