Adrian Miller, 41, was driving in Victoria’s north-west on April 5, when police stopped him and searched his truck.

Miller, a ‘drug addict’, gave up no explanation for why he was in possession of so much cash as well as some drugs.

After he refused to reveal any information about the money and drugs, he was charged with possessing heroin and dealing with the proceeds of crime.

Police learned that Miller was already wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant when they found him in Mildura.

Mildura is a notorious area for organised crime, with The Rebels outlaw motorcycle gang, the Calabrian mafia, and the Comancheros operating in the town.

When in Mildura Magistrates Court, Miller failed an oral fluid drugs test and the court heard he was a drug addict and would be suffering withdrawals, the Daily Mail reports.

The truck’s final destination was not known and the case will return to court on May 18.
