Crash Bandicoot Talks In New TV Show, Here’s What He Sounds Like

So since Crash Bandicoot popped up in Skylanders Imaginators, it only makes sense that he’d rear his fuzzy orange head for the new Skylanders Netflix show, right?

While it is undeniably cool to see our long-forgotten hero make his return (even if we never expected it to be quite like this), it’s less cool to finally hear him speak.

See, Crash doesn’t really say much in the games aside from the odd yelp – and I don’t think anyone expected he’d sound quite the way he does in the video below…

Okay, so Crash has an Australian accent. That makes sense given his origin – but it just sounds slightly off to me, like someone doing a bad impression more than anything else.

Ah well, if you’re interested in watching Crash Bandicoot in Skylanders Academy, it’s the eleventh episode of the 12 episode series, and is (unsurprisingly) called Crash Landing.

No spoilers, but here’s the episode’s official description:

After Crash Bandicoot is somehow transported into their world, the Skylanders have to help him get home by finding a dark relic.

Of course, as strange as Crash sounds here, it could be a lot worse. He has given a pretty hefty speech once before, in a horrendous ad for Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back, which you can watch below.

A second season of Skylanders Academy has already been confirmed by Netflix, so there’s a good chance this chatty Crash could show up again in 2017.
