A man, reportedly ejected from a bus for being racist, has been arrested after he took his anger out on the vehicle’s windshield.
The disturbing incident saw the unnamed man crack the glass with what appears to be a windscreen wiper before repeatedly smashing his elbows into the window, leaving him with significant injuries.
The Daily Mail reports that the man reacted furiously to being told to leave the bus after subjecting an Asian couple to a barrage of racial slurs.
The crazed man was allegedly sat at the back of the bus when he advanced down the aisle with his ‘fist clenched’ before a female passenger stopped him and said ‘Stop, you’ve harassed them enough!’
The driver then reportedly ordered him to get off the bus after he made a comment about ‘returning the Asian couple’s chopsticks’.
According to News AU, the 30-year-old aggressor fled the scene when police arrived.
He was later arrested and was allegedly in need of surgery for the self inflicted injuries to his arms and hands.
The man has since been issued with a Field Court Attendance Notice for common assault and malicious damage, and will appear in court on April 6.
