A crazy video shows the shocking moment a young lion grabbed a young child on a live TV show, as the mother desperately tried to keep hold of her daughter.
The footage is reportedly from back in 2003 from a Mexican TV show called Con Sello De Mujer, which stopped broadcasting in 2007, but it’s been doing the rounds again after a scary GIF of the moment was shared on Reddit and Imgur.
Besides how obviously terrifying the moment is, what is perhaps even more worrying is how the presenters, parents and handler just try and laugh the whole thing off and play it cool for the cameras.
A fucking lion just tried to grab your child! Why are you smiling? Yes, sure, the lion was probably just trying to play and be friendly but, good lord people, this is no laughing matter.
In many ways, the presenters’ panicked but smiling through it all reaction is a product of live TV, but trying to play it off like everything is totally fine during a clearly dangerous situation like this may be one step too far.
I’m not sure Philip Schofield and Holly Willoughby would remain this calm if the same thing happened on This Morning, let’s put it that way.
We guess this video is the ultimate example of why they say never to work with children or animals…
