A father attacked a man after he took upskirt pictures of his daughter in a shop.
Ismael Duarte, from California, did what he had to to protect his daughter when a man followed her around a shop and took pictures up her skirt.
The 29-year-old man, Jorge A. Ibarra Jr, was spotted on CCTV in Target taking the violating images on Sunday at a store in Cypress, California.
Ibarra captured photos of several women, following those in skirts and crouching down to take the pictures.
Watch the CCTV footage here:
The man could be seen on the CCTV footage kneeling and following behind one girl as she browsed the store.
The man used the same technique on other girls in the store, one of which was Ismael’s 15-year-old daughter.
Heroically, Ismael realised what was happening and put an end to it. The video shows the dad kicking the phone out of the creep’s hand, and pushing him down when he tries to retrieve it.
Ibarra managed to get away from Ismael, but the father chased him into the car park and was able to get a photo of his own before Ibarra escaped, catching a picture of the man in his car.
Ismael spoke to Fox News about the incident.
He said:
I’m p*ssed off that I didn’t do more than I did but I wish I would have, because I’m so angry.
If you’re watching, just know you messed with the wrong family, that’s all I got to say.
You tell ’em, Ismael.
The parents expressed their concern for if the disgusting cameraman had managed to get any footage of their daughter.
Speaking to KTLA, the mother said:
So how much, if any, video did he get of my daughter? I’m not sure.
It’s very disgusting. It’s disgusting that he knew exactly what he was doing. If he went to different Targets to do this, how many other stores did he go to?
She also said that Ismael went into ‘protect mode’ when he released what was happening to his daughter.
The father added:
My daughter, and the girl that actually was getting their picture taken without her being known — that’s what got me.
Thanks to Ismael’s picture of the man in his car, police managed to catch Ibarra, and arrested him on invasion of privacy charges. The man is suspected to have also taken upskirting photos in another Target, in Cerritos.
The man was booked into Orange County Jail, with his bail set at $25,000.
Ismael revealed to Fox News the security at the store didn’t do much about the situation.
He said:
All they did was stand behind, and that’s very disappointing.
A spokesperson for Target has defended the stores, saying:
The safety and security of our guests is very important. We have no tolerance for this behavior in our stores… We will help law enforcement in any way.
Police want anyone who could potentially have been targeted by Ibarra to contact the Cypress police on (714) 229-6631.
