After his infant son underwent traumatic head surgery, this great dad designed Star Wars-themed head gear to help his year-long recovery.
The four images were uploaded to Reddit by user mikesweeney37, a friend of the boy’s father. In the post, he describes how the unnamed man set about creating the headgear for his son, Jack, after surgery for the rare skull problem Craniosynostosis.
Craniosynostosis is where the irregular shape of the skull can cause persistent headaches, learning difficulties, eye problems and other symptoms which can develop later in childhood if left unchecked.
Jack celebrated his birthday on Tuesday, which also marked the end of the need for a helmet.
We wish Jack and his inspirational father all the best.
