Foo Fighters lead singer Dave Grohl found a pretty creative way to work around his broken leg when he performed from a throne made of guitars on the Fourth of July.
The band were forced to scrap a European tour last month, including a headline performance at Glastonbury, after Grohl fell off stage in Sweden on June 12 and broke his fibula. He still finished the show though, like a boss.
Continuing that trend, on Saturday at the show in Washington, Grohl rocked out while sat on the epic throne with his leg in a cast.
July 4 was the 20th anniversary of the Foo Fighters’ self titled debut album and Grohl understandably didn’t want to miss this special performance (“I’m not missing this show for the world!”).
And Grohl explained to the crowd that he came up with the idea for the Game of Thrones style chair during his hospital stay while he was high on pain medication.
Just one more reason why Grohl is the coolest dude on the planet.
