In the mysterious world of heavyweight boxing, it would appear you can throw as many punches as you like at Dereck Chisora, just don’t throw a water bottle his way.
And that’s exactly the life lesson one unlucky hooligan found out after reportedly launching a water bottle at the former European Heavyweight champ.
While posing for a face-off at the weigh-in for tonight’s bout against Kubrat Pulev, the Cockney fighter was apparently struck by a bottle, thought to have been thrown by a member of Pulev’s entourage.
Like a bull in a china shop, Chisora completely lost his mind and forced security guards aside before sprinting after the bottle thrower down a hotel corridor.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Chisora said:
That was it, I just lost my mind. I think any man, if they got hit in the face with a bottle, would lose their mind, and I just did that.
Was he trying to promote the fight? I don’t know. I was worried in case that was a glass bottle. You know that would have been my career over, everything would have been messed up.
I went mad, I’m not going to hold back, I went mad.
Unfortunately for the former heavyweight contender, it’s not the first time he’s been hit by a bottle – in fact, it’s not even the only time he’s been hit by a bottle in Germany.
Back in 2012, ‘Del-Boy’ was struck by a bottle in his infamous press conference brawl with David Haye as Chisora prepared for his fight against Vitali Klitschko.
@mrdavidhaye has some bottle, taking on 3 people at the same time. Dereck Chisora had it coming to him. #WhatAPunch pic.twitter.com/2x6kPTKl

Chisora will fight Bulgarian giant Kubrat Pulev in the European Heavyweight title fight tonight and, hopefully, he’s a bit more composed in the ring than he was here!
