Derren Brown Unleashes Demon on Thorpe Park In Strange Prank Video

We all know that Derren Brown must’ve made a pact with the Devil for his magical abilities, but now he’s summoned a demonic servant to help him promote a new ride.

The video shows Derren leading his trained beast, which looks like a Frankenstein-esque mishmash of an ape and the Cloverfield monster, around the park and placing it in the Ghost Train at Thorpe Park.

After he leaves the foul Satan-spawn is then free to wreak havoc and goes about terrifying the unsuspecting workers of Thorpe Park, chasing them around in a demented game of hide-and-seek.

The Huffington Post reports that Derren is excited about the prospect of the new ride and explained why he freed the (hopefully fake) monster.

He said:

Over the last few weeks I have been testing out the components of the attraction and decided to run scare tests with my demon creature on the Thorpe Park staff – the reactions were hilarious and very encouraging.

As for the new ghost train Derren said that passengers aboard the Ghost Train will experience a ‘pretty extraordinary combination of next generation technology, grand illusion, special effects and live action, completely unlike anything they will have seen before’.

Apparently the ride will have different journeys and two possible endings, so that ‘whilst guests may share their journey with others, each experience will be an individual one’.

Derren Brown’s Ghost Train arrives at Thorpe Park on 6 May.
