If you’ve been holding out for some tasty human/robot mixup action, then the launch trailer for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided should be enough to whet your appetite ahead of the game’s release.

Premiering at this year’s GamesCom, the launch trailer shows series protagonist Adam Jenson kicking the snot out of some wrong’uns using his wide variety of augmentations and good old fashioned hot lead. Check it out below.

Aside from the slick visuals and ass kickery, Jenson delivers a poignant message: “You can kill dreams. You can kill innocents. You can kill freedom. But you can’t kill progress.”

Mankind Divided has hit a few stumbling blocks on its way to release, but Square Enix are confident that the game will perform well. Who can forget such fun times as the horrifying paywall/ pre-order debacle, the scrapping of said pre-order scheme and the game getting a pretty healthy release kickback from February to August. Good times.

Despite its torrid run up to release, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is looking like a pretty decent entry for the well loved series, and fans will be able to get their hands on it August 23 on PlayStation 4, Xboe One and PC.
