Bethesda has finally given us our first proper look at Dishonored 2’s gameplay, and it’s shaping up very nicely indeed.

The footage was shown off during Bethesda’s E3 2016 press show, and gives us a good look at some awesome time bending powers, gorgeous locations, and of course, an awful lot of death.

The follow up to Arkane Studios’ 2012 first person stealth hit, Dishonored 2 is set 15 years after the first game and follows the usurped empress Emily Kaldwin on a mission to uncover the conspiracy that led to her banishment from Dunwall.

The original game’s protagonist Corvo Attano will also feature as a playable character – the two will have separate story paths and missions, so expect some sweet replay value.

While Attano will be using most of the powers he had in the first game, Emily will be employing an entirely new set of unique skills, each of which can be upgraded via the time honored skill tree system.

One of Emily’s most notable (and shit scary) powers is to transform into a shadowform, allowing her to crawl along the floor undetected, before tearing apart her enemy.

There’s also an intriguing item that allows Emily to look through a lens and see the world in the past – this allows her to jump back and forth between times and affect both worlds.

As is the way of Dishonored, there’s a heavy emphasis on player choice and multiple outcomes based on your decisions. Obviously if you run around killing everything that moves, the world will start to think you’re a bit of a dickhead.

As such, it’s entirely to possible to sneak through the game and avoid any unnecessary deaths. If you want to see everything the game has to offer, you’ll need to experiment with all possible outcomes.

Dishonored 2 will be coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on November 11.
