Nothing says welcome to the party like a brutal limb removal – something that Dishonored 2 looks like it’s taking to heart.
The latest trailer for Bethesda’s stylish and violent stealth-em-up was released during this year’s Gamescom and shows off some more of the game’s gameplay. Check it out below.
The clip shows two scenes – one where the player straight up murderises everyone in a harrowing dance of blades and blood, and another with some steamy sword on metal action, as new robot enemies meet their steely maker.
For the uninitiated, Dishonored 2 has you playing as series protagonist Corvo, and his daughter Emily Kaldwin – who just happens to be the Empress of the game’s world. The trailer shows off some of Emily’s abilities, which apparently include turning into an ungodly abomination of the shadows, who can slice enemies into shreds with frightening ease.
The Dishonored series has always been about giving players the choice to go in hard and fast with an unhealthy thirst for blood, or taking things more slowly, sneaking through levels like a cat on springs. Personally, I’ll be going in all swords blazing, and probably getting killed straight away. Each to their own though I guess.
Dishonored 2 will be launching November 11 on PS4, Xbox One and Windows PC.
