Just a couple months after the death of his wife, Beth Chapman, Dog the Bounty Hunter has suffered a ‘heart emergency’ that left him hospitalised.

The reality star Duane Lee Chapman was taken to a Colorado hospital this weekend after he felt chest pains, at the time it was reported doctors hadn’t pinpointed what happened.

On Sunday (September 15) TMZ reported he may have needed corrective surgery, but this was yet to be confirmed. It was speculated the reality star had suffered a heart attack. Sources at the time said doctors still needed to carry out further tests to determine the cause of Chapman’s ‘chest pain’.

An update on Dog’s condition was given on Monday when sources close to the reality TV star told TMZ he hadn’t had a heart attack but was still not in the clear.

After numerous tests, doctors said Dog’s hospital visit was stress and blood pressure-related. An aniogram was performed on Dog and it was normal.

Dog was released from hospital on Monday night and is now said to be resting at home.

The news comes just months after his late-wife Beth Chapman lost her battle with cancer. Beth was diagnosed with stage two throat cancer in 2017, but was later cleared.

Beth died aged 51 after the cancer returned in 2018. In April, she was rushed to the hospital for breathing trouble that was related to the chemotherapy she had undergone.
