Well, well, well – it’s been reported that POTUS, Mr Donald Trump, has his lawyers looking into the legalities of him pardoning himself and his family, should the Russia probe find anything incriminating.
His legal team are also said to be collecting a dossier of alleged conflicts of interests surrounding Special Counsel, Robert Mueller, who is heading the investigation, in an attempt to scupper him, reports the Washington Post.
The revelations have come to light as Mueller’s investigation will likely probe some of the Trump family’s business ties.
Earlier this week, Trump said he would deem any investigation into his personal finances an ‘overreach of the probe’, during his interview with The New York Times.
Trump is also said to be annoyed as he’s realised that Mueller has the authority to access his tax returns – something that Trump has repeatedly refused to release.
Jay Sekulow, one of the President’s private lawyers told NYMag.com:
The fact is that the President is concerned about conflicts that exist within the Special Counsel’s office and any changes in the scope of the investigation.
The scope is going to have to stay within his mandate – if there’s drifting, we’re going to object.

Mueller is looking into ‘a broad range of transactions involving Trump’s businesses’, which include, the 2013 Miss Universe pageant that took place in Moscow and the sale of his Florida mansion, which was purchased by a Russian oligarch, back in in 2008, according to Bloomberg News.
Trump’s legal team have not made any official comment on the reports.
Mueller and congressional committees will also investigate whether the President’s campaign coordinated with Russia during the 2016 election.
Many feel that Trump’s public airing of his grievances is a warning that his days are numbered.
I guess time will tell…
