U.S presidential hopeful Donald Trump has been at it again.
In his latest outburst, the business tycoon has decided to take aim at the military service of fellow Republican Party member John McCain.
Yesterday, Trump incredibly took aim at military veteran McCain, who himself ran for President in 2008.
Trump alleged that now U.S senator McCain is only popular due to the fact he was a prisoner of war for over five years during his time as a U.S Navy pilot.
Trump just now on John McCain: "He's a war hero because he was captured. I like people who weren't captured."

Unsurprisingly, politicians from both the Republicans and the Democrats didn’t take too kindly to Trump’s outrageous comments.
.@SenJohnMcCain is an American hero & all POW's deserve our nation's highest debt of gratitude. @realDonaldTrump's comments are disgraceful.

Just told a crowd in Sioux City: @SenJohnMcCain is an American hero

Enough with the slanderous attacks. @SenJohnMcCain and all our veterans – particularly POWs have earned our respect and admiration.

Trump later tried to defend his comments, first in a weak attempt at damage control with a thinly veiled apology on Twitter, soon followed by a longer not-so-apologetic rant about the whole situation on Facebook.
Captured or not, all our soldiers are heroes!

I am not a fan of John McCain because he has done so little for our Veterans and he should know better than anybody what…

Subsequent Twitter posts from Trump and his campaign team today have only made the situation even worse.

The Veterans Administration is in shambles and our veterans are suffering greatly. John McCain has done nothing to help them but talk.

Still, if you can say one thing about Trump, it’s that he has an uncanny ability to p*ss off absolutely everybody! So that’s something…
