PAUS President, Donald Trump, has spoken out following the biggest military attack against Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s government by western powers.
Armed forces from the UK, US, and France fired over 100 missiles to destroy, what they say, are chemical weapon factories in Syria.
In his first tweet since the airstrike, Trump said:
A perfectly executed strike last night. Thank you to France and the United Kingdom for their wisdom and the power of their fine Military.

Earlier this morning, (April 14), the Kremlin’s ambassador to the US warned there would be ‘consequences’ to the attacks on Syria.
He also added how the military-led operation was an insult to their president, Vladimir Putin, which was not acceptable.
Russian Ambassador Anatoly Antonov released an official press statement warning America and its allies, ‘a pre-designed scenario’ is being drawn up in retaliation to the air raids which has left the country feeling ‘threatened’.
Antonov said:
A pre-designed scenario is being implemented. Again, we are being threatened. We warned that such actions will not be left without consequences.
Insulting the President of Russia is unacceptable and inadmissible. The US – the possessor of the biggest arsenal of chemical weapons – has no moral right to blame other countries.

The air strikes come after claims of a chemical attack in the area of Douma, which killed dozens. Douma is the last town under the control of the rebels in Syria’s region of Eastern Ghouta.
Meanwhile, in Syria, its state-run media has allegedly labelled the joint airstrikes by the US, UK and France as a ‘flagrant violation’ of international law.
Prime Minister Theresa May approved four RAF Tornados, equipped with Shadow Storm missiles, to target a former missile base 15 miles west of Homs, which is believed to be the location of where Syrian President, Bashar al-Assad’s regime, is stockpiling items used to make chemical weapons.
The US-led military attack was in response to the Syrian regime’s alleged repeated use of chemical weapons, the most recent killing more than 70 people, according to The Telegraph.
WikimediaOn Friday, (April 13), US President Donald Trump addressed Americans to announce he’d ordered the strike in response to the Assad regime’s ‘evil and despicable’ attacks over the weekend.
Prime Minister May offered her own statement from Downing Street minutes afterwards, claiming the strikes were not about ‘intervening in a civil war’ or ‘regime change’ but to prevent the further use of chemical weapons.
Russia had previously warned, if air strikes were launched, it would respond. So the world waits to see what’ll happen next…
