Dr Sandra Lee – aka Dr Pimple Popper – has posted a video showing her squeezing a ‘baby faced’ epidermoid cyst and what comes out is enough to put you off ever eating again, ever.
That’s because this thick, grey pus oozes out of the cyst after Dr Pimple Popper cuts it open. ARGH.
Anyway, we know it’s really gross but if you wanted to know a bit more about these ‘baby faced’ cysts, we have the facts for you.
Dr Sandra explains an epidermoid cyst is a ‘benign growth’ which is commonly found in the skin and typically appear on the face, neck, chest, shoulders or skin around the genitals.
The cyst’s contents are ‘mostly composed of macerated keratin’ – aka wet skin cells – which – wait for it – creates this ‘cheesy’ consistency, and there can be a ‘pungent odour’.
