Dr Sandra Lee has gone viral once more – this time squeezing the pus out of an uncomfortable looking cyst on a woman’s breast.
Better known as Dr Pimple Popper, we see Lee inject the woman’s cyst before then using a tool to punch a hole in the centre of the pus-filled growth.
Immediately a thick substance starts to ooze from the depths of the cyst…
And then it becomes time to squeeze.
Lee says reveals in the video’s description that such conditions are often misdiagnosed, but also the procedure can carry a NOPE odour.
She says:
When an epidermoid cyst ruptures, it creates a vigorous foreign body inflammatory response – this skin becomes warm, tender, painful, and swells, simulating an abscess. Incision and Drainage (I & D), will confirm the diagnosis of inflamed cyst, when the cheesy, sometimes odiferous material is evacuated, and this process often leads to rapid resolution of symptoms.
These episodes are often misdiagnosed as “infection” of the cyst, but cultures are usually negative and antibiotic treatments is not required. Intralesional steroids can hasten the resolution of symptoms as well.
Since being uploaded two days ago the video has been viewed over 500,000 times.
Proof that societies grisly fascination with spot popping is still going strong.
