Underground tunnels can be scary places. Especially if you watch horror films. ‘Creep’ in particular, as it’s London.

But they’re also impressive and quite interesting.
The BBC, and aerial photographer Jon Bontoft flew a drone into these tunnels to see them as they’re being built, as part of London’s imminent Crossrail train network.
The rails will cover over 60 miles, with 26 of those being underneath the capital. It’s costing £14.8 BILLION, too.
The rail network is due to open in 2018, so we will see how these tunnels end up then.
