Five Minions have been charged in a narcotics conspiracy and sales case, according to the New York City Office of the Special Narcotics Prosecutor.

The stuffed toys were used to help disguise large packets of cocaine, carrying around $250,000 (£160,000) of the drug, being smuggled from Puerto Rico to New York. The drugs were wrapped in fake children’s birthday gifts, and posted in bags holding the stuffed toys.

Reportedly, Olaf the snowman from Frozen was also involved in the drug trafficking operation.

Police intercepted four similar packages throughout June and July. Albert Fortosa was arrested when he accepted one of the express delivery packages, inside was the perfect birthday gift bag, complete with wrapped presents, a stuffed Minion toy and a kilo of cocaine.
